I have some transferable skills from my time as a soldier for over 4,000,000 years. Programming is my main skill. While the tech here is primitive, it seems to rely on magic, from the circuitry to the programming. Need to learn and understand how it works first. I think I will work at a bar or cafe in the meantime.
I find it ridiculous that we, Augmented Ones, have to worry about getting a stable job and paying the rent when we are needed to resolve a multi-universal crisis.
Honestly I doubt the story about the crisis is true. I believe our purpose is to maintain this world alive, And the tale about other worlds is to coerce us.
I feel the same. Until I see evidence that this crisis affect other worlds as well, I do not believe their story. We are being used to preserve this world.
That being said, I am willing to lend my aid in keeping this world and the innocent people living here alive.
If it eases you, know that I would not pick any options that allow the living to suffer, even if that is the only option to preserve the world. The preservation of life is my mission. Hurting the living would go counter to it.

I believe the easiest way to make enough to survive though,
Is to look for something you are competent and knowledgeable in.
Care of the dead is where I excel.
