WE ARE BAD AND THAT'S GOOD

there's no one I'd rather be than me
This hyper super duper secret post is for the villains who dwell deep into the Underworld. They may be trying to end humanity, but that's not bad. That's just their job and they're doing their best with it. They may be cold, cruel or whiny, but deep down they're still the same. Except Tsururu who has no memories left. And Godzilla who's losing his mind. Oh and there's Yuji who has to watch all this and hope someone will come soon.
Sweet, sweet tragedy. On the bright side, Silco's more or less the same as usual, he just got more friends now.
you wanna get a living nuke drunk? ... your funeral!
[Giving a scrutinizing glance towards the lapping water's iridescent surface. Ironically, Bakugo's never met Silco save for one, maybe two conversations over the network. While he gleaned a heavy public dislike for the man, that only came to his attention when Noctis put up his shitty "popularity poll" post on the network.
So congratulations, Silco. You're talking to a guy who's never seen you, and up until a month or so ago, didn't know you were despicable. Even now he doesn't seem to care about the man's reputation.
All that to say... no, he has zero idea Silco has a flask on him. Given his looks, he wouldn't be surprised if he does.]
We're wasting resources right now not fucking using them! [Bakugo indicates himself, Silco, and the area around them. HIS boss stage moves. Not sure about the others' chosen venue...] Che. Those damn extras up there will figure out a cure or balm. Relying on a shitty virus is lame.
look his daughter is jinx he is that stupid
[ Well, maybe not, since they've pretty much never spoken. That's fine, look at the guy. The scar and unblinking eye are probably enough evidence that he's not exactly from the kindest of places.
He steps into the bar, behind it, and pulls out a bottle of whisky for himself, before he pours a glass, he tips it toward him, a tip of his head in question, as if to ask: 'drink?' ]
As for the illness, it's crude, but it achieves several goals at the moment. It sows panic and discord. It likely will off a good number of at least LILITH's staff, and render them ineffective. For all that the other Outsiders will be struggling to find a cure — their efforts will be split, won't they? After all, they'll be looking for most of you, won't they?
[ Most of you. Silco knows who he is, after all. The corruption needs to do so little. ]
This ensures that they have too many things to do, keeps them looking, guessing. It means that we can take them all out in one fell swoop while they are still worried and distracted, and they finally find their way here — and they will. The point is to keep them too busy to properly prepare.
but evil people can't be stupid! ... right?
[He gestures around at the surroundings again, having thought all their areas were even tangentially influenced by the individual residing withing it. Silco's words suggest this was something generated by someone else's thoughts about him. Inference.
Bakugo follows into the bar and glances around. Tch, the last time he was in a bar, he'd been tied to a chair and manacled in giant ass cuffs on his arms to stop his Quirk. Surrounded by a bunch of morons who thought they knew a damn thing about him. And were harshly proven wrong. He snaps from his thoughts by the sound of liquid in a glass.]
Fireball.
[Has he ever had one? No. Does he know what it is? No! Is he asking cause its name sounded cool when he heard it and he wants to look cool and be a badass? YES!! Plus he's evil. Evil people do stupid things, no?]
Che. What a lame naive way to think about it. They'll drop what they're doing when the alarms go off. This entire time, everything's been a damn kaiju's fault. Stopping the kaiju stops the affects. It's not hard to guess the virus is caused by a 'kaiju' this time either. And they're always prepared for a fight.
[He stands at the bar across from Silco rather than taking a seat on the stool for now.]
If she wanted to weaken them, she picked the wrong target. [They fought the wolf in Romania with very little support from LILITH after all.] She's got a month before they're bashing her damn head in.
no they can be especially when it comes to their egos (i guess cw: elusion to animal cruelty?)
[ Also the place he nearly died the first time. The site of his first betrayal, the man he'd become rested at the bottom of a river not unlike this one.
The dockside, the decrepit buildings, the water that looks like you might be sick from even taking a dip in it. That's all Zaun, down to every last detail. The man had lived and breathed this for his entire life. Then again, Silco also didn't talk about everything that made him who he was — he just expressed that without shame, and made everyone else suffer the consequences.
He pulls a bottle out, some kind of cinnamon whiskey, and pours, though he makes a slight face at it. Well, when he and Vander had been boys, they'd drunk things far more vile than that. Case in point, the liquor in a jar with a suspended rat in it certainly seems particularly vile, just sitting on the shelf! Gross. ]
Trying to. That's where we come in. Why do you think there are so many gates? The point is for us to wear them down, bit by bit. Pick them off, and then when they are left fighting here, there's little left for her to finally swat down.
Meanwhile, LILITH continues to infect them topside, the rest of them all fall apart, dying off while we silently and efficiently take out each and every one of their little heroes.
[ A twitch of his lips. ] Nobody listened to me, no matter how much I told them that the average person up there should be responsible for their own fates. It will be what eradicates them all, in the end.
rat drink! where's the snake wine and scorpion beer?
[So scenery and areas based on his life growing up. From dark buildings falling apart to lapping murky water beneath slime-coated dock pillars. A decrepit wharf and shoreline strip. Outsiders in this place are going to feel like they stepped into a noir movie. Ancient history in Bakugo's world. More than 150 years ago.
Granted, if Silco had grabbed a bottle of rat juice, Bakugo would've refused it in a heartbeat. He at least knows you don't make a fireball with rat juice, dammit! The scent of cinnamon comes strong from the drink and he snorts at Silco's pulled face. What, too strong for you, grandpa?]
Hmph. Unless she expends all her energy keeping the shields up, gates strong, and virus going. [A perpetual engine running her power to the ground attempting to make good on her domination wipe out. It's little more than a guess, since she's not made too much conversation about how everything works down here. Bakugo hasn't bothered asking. He knows his role.]
Them? [He takes the drink with a scoff.] You got here too early. The Outsiders are immune to the virus. Those bastard didn't show a single symptom. [He brings the glass to his lips for a brief sample.] BLEH!! The hell is this?!
[Guess who's never had alcohol before. This guy!]
oh those are the top shelf items
[ For Zaun... Shitty childhood? Try shitty life, bud. Zaun is, unfortunately, not a pleasant place. ]
There are plenty of powerful Outsiders. Far be it from me to defend Ereshkigal of all people, but there is a method to this madness. We have to wear them down, otherwise we'll be fighting them at their best, and the've defeated plenty of kaiju at this point. Would it not be better to distract them? Weaken them?
[ He waved his hand. ] It's not about infecting the Outsiders. It's about infecting their support structure. The people, the humans, everything that they're so devoted to watching. It's demoralizing to watch them wither away before them, isn't it? Makes them question their efficacy.
[ Or it should.
He smiles into his own drink. It's just straight whiskey, bud. Not any better. ]
That's... "Fireball", apparently. Don't ask me, I don't drink flavored whiskeys.
dare we ask what's under the sink?
[Calling him out on his downplay because he feels like it. Silco's the kind of person you'd expect to crawl from the slums and a bunch of trash with foul ideas in his head from bad upbringing.]
Che! I didn't say her damn gauntlet run was shit. But if it takes all her strength to keep powering it, she's nothing more than a fucking battery at the end. [He sets the glass down hard on the counter.] Not that anyone's gonna make it to her. I'll kill anyone who shows up in my territory.
[Red eyes narrow and he peers to Silco. Not about the Outsiders? Only targeting LILITH is obvious. Before leaning back and laughing.]
Baaaka! These bastards already watched 70% of their planet's population get wasted! If they haven't given up by now, a shitty bunch of sniffles isn't gonna do a damn thing! If you really wanna crush them, you gotta gut them in one blow!
[Ka-BOOM!! "crush" is accented with a harsh clench of his fist and a large explosion rupturing from the center of it. Smoke blooms upward around Bakugo's leering face.
As for the drink... he'll try again in a little bit. It wasn't the cinnamon flavor; it was the taste of alcohol. Guh!]
oh nooooo that's where the worst shit is
[ Would it be surprising to Bakugo to learn that Silco hadn't always been like this? Shit childhood, shit adulthood, yeah, but he hadn't come out foul. He'd come out... hopeful. Believing in something better. With a drive that makes him want to fight for something bigger than himself. He still does that. It's just been twisted now. Corrupted.
Silco has the determination of any shonen protagonist, it's just twisted up and corrupted. Then again. Look at where he comes from. ]
Sure, she'll be a battery. It's better than listening to her prattle on, after all. [ A wave of his hand. He still doesn't like Ereshkigal. It isn't her, the person, that he favors. It's the cause. ]
You've not seen people when they fall to disease, boy. You can expend the energy into an explosive wave, but it's a waste. Not when this disease can rip through them. They'll get sick, but eventually, it will take them all out. Pick them off, one by one. Meanwhile, people watch their families dwindle. They turn on one another. They fight to survive, children scrounge for food, and adults can't work, after all. They can't even shop.
They spread it amongst each other. Some people continue to work, and toil, because they must, or because they feel guilty. They spread it to others. It may look like sniffles now, but it is not where it will end.
They will die off this way. Just like with any disease. They won't be able to stop it in time.
[ Another sip, his drink isn't exactly going to last long, but Silco generally survived off the liquor anyway. ]
worst meaning best
[Before this guy thinks he's at all interested in listening to him regale horrible stories about a crap upbringing and comparing his suffering to anyone else's. Like a goddamn pissing contest on who has the worst life. Heard plenty bitching from other villains in his world; Bakugo doesn't need it here.
And no, it wouldn't surprise him. All villains and bad guys (with one exception) started out as decent people, even good people, until their one "if only" moment slipped past everyone's notice. It helps he knows next to nothing about Silco and isn't the kind of person to go along with popular opinion on someone else. If he weren't corrupted himself right now, he'd be willing to listen to Silco more and make his own judgements about the guy.
They had one conversation before, however, and it was enough to make him quirk a brow back then...]
Che! She didn't come here already to bitch at you about something? [Bakugo picks his drink up and slouches a bit, shoulders hunched as his voice lowers into a growl.] Bitchkami showed up ranting about me being too loud for her stupid ears. What a pussy with weak ass eardrums. I wasn't being loud at all, dammit!
[And throws back a harder swallow of fireball, instantly lurching forward and coughing from its powerful burn and kick. Bleh! The fuck?! Who drinks this shit normally?!] Get me some fucking lemonade!! This is gross!
[RIP his "adult" image.]
Don't treat me like I'm ignorant. You're basing all that bullshit on time and hope they don't come up with a cure. You and I both know what the cure is, and we're the ones who're gonna make sure it doesn't happen.
[Another reason why he's far more interested in ending them in one hard swoop rather than waiting on a hope.]
Humans have always survived disease, dumbass. Otherwise no one'd be here.
yes exaclty gotta keep it hidden so nobody can see it
[ Sorry Bakugo, he's also cantankerous and ill tempered. Go figure.
He laughs, though, because she had. ]
Oh, she did. [ He waved a hand. ] You know how she is. One little thing doesn't go her way and she has to throw a fit. I'm surprised she didn't threaten to get rid of you if you didn't quiet down.
[ She did to him, but. Well. Silco is special. Even working together they weren't going to get along. ✨ frenemies ✨ ]
As it is, diseases are tools. Some will survive, of course, but a pandemic rips through people differently than simply blowing them up does. [ Surprisingly patient. Again though: he's used to the explode first types. He's been trying to instruct Jinx to have a little bit more subtlety since she was a kid. ]
And, when it takes a percentage of them out, what will be left will be tired, worn, and in mourning. They won't be thinking straight. They'll have lost key leaders and positions. LILITH in particular has other tools up their sleeve, I am sure of it. We can deal with the current outsiders, but we have to plan ahead.
