i know you're weird and layered thats what i like about you that and your determination you never stop and always grow, even when it hurts so much your potential is nigh infinite
[ Humans are so wonderful, she loves them so much... ]
you're a kind person taryon i i'm glad lilith was able to bring you back.
[That's...so sweet. Taryon thinks he could cry if he heard Ereshkigal speak such kind words in person.
There's hope for a mess of a human being like him.] Your words mean so much, coming from a goddess. I try my best in everything I do. What kind of man would I be otherwise?
It's not the goddess speaking. It's the person, Ereshkigal. Though one could argue we are one and the same... The goddess I am treats everyone equally, as befits a perfect deity. But the person I am is very flawed. I cannot help but have preferences.
[ She feels good saying that. Acknowledging she's not a goddess in this world has done wonders for her of late. The return of punctuation is definite proof it's working again. ]
I would argue you are very weird. But the weirder someone is, the more unique they are. To someone like me who has always strived to be a perfect goddess, I see beauty in weirdness.
I must admit, I wish I was weird too. Even if I'd take offense at being called weird.
I would think you would have preferences. Otherwise priests and clerics wouldn't get any special blessings.
I suppose you have a point. Perfection is not meant for mortals. Even if we don't like weirdness down here.
I think you're strange enough already. Not many of us cry so easily or write so poetically when speaking disparaginly of others. Actually, I think that can be pretty common among the nobility. Never mind all that.
Perhaps I can teach you in ways to have more admirable quirks! That's what gets people to like you, nowadays.
Some quirks are charming. For example, someone who puts bows on everything they wear is a quirk! Not many people will think that's weird. It's like a personality or character trait that distinguishes you from everyone else. Mine is my eloquent narration and dashing looks.
[And being kind of weird when talking to people.]
No, no, I'm doing this out of the kindness of my heart.
Although
I'm looking for some more comics in this series I found. We can go through them together if you help me get a complete set.
[ Bows on everything they wear...? It's like he's come from the future and saw her escape cardboard box! She feels so targeted. And... H-His dashing looks and eloquent narration? Well, modesty certainly is most certainly not a defining character trait of his, huh!
Best to focus on the last thing he said. ]
Do you mean those McDuck comics...? What do you need?
I found a series about humans in Europe with superpowers that fight invaders from around the world. It's a fascinating look into distant history and how they were written about!
They have a powerful druid on their side even though they're mostly melee fighters. It's something that would have been perfect for a young adventurer like myself.
I am afraid I cannot help for this. Though the settings you describe sound fascinating, The only comics I read are those of that duck family... I otherwise find it much more relaxing to read novels and the likes.
I'll see if I can find anything in my spare have. And if you find new duck comics, let me know. I'm working on a general timeline for the canon of material we've uncovered.

But
I don't think I'm that weird.
Am I?
I'm on the less weird end of the spectrum anyway.

Yet you say admirable quirks get people to like you.
But aren't quirks an expression of weirdness?
[ S-Sorry, but she's pretty confused!! ]
I would like to take you on that offer...
But only if I can do something for you in return.
That would be only fair, after all.

And...
Thank you again, Taryon.
This means a lot to me.
